KCB Opens Nationwide Scholarship Opportunities for Select Kenyans – How to Apply

The KCB Foundation has announced scholarship opportunities for Level 3 vocational training in August 2025, under its 2jiajiri Programme.

The scholarships will be offered at various Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in Nairobi County and its environs, as well as in Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, and Nyandarua counties.

In a statement, the Foundation invited qualified candidates to apply for the programme.

“KCB Foundation, in partnership with selected TVET institutions, is offering scholarships for the following vocational training courses in August 2025,” read part of the statement.

KCB Announces Scholarship Opportunities

According to the KCB Foundation, all applicants must fulfill the criteria below to be eligible to apply for the program:

  1. Have a National Identity Card
  2. Be between the ages of 18 and 34 years
  3. Be able to read and write in Kiswahili and/or English
  4. Be willing to undertake the training at any of the listed training Institutions.
  5. Commit to attending all training sessions, including industrial placement.
  6. Be within one of the two categories (Skiller or Apprentice)

The Foundation also encouraged female candidates to apply.

The list of selected institutions and the courses being offered by the KCB Foundation is shown in the table below:

The Foundation further issued Instructions to candidates on how to go about with their application:

  1. Fill out the application form as clearly and as completely as possible.
  2. Only complete applications will be considered. Admission into the programme is based on a competitive selection process.
  3. After submitting your responses, select “save my responses”. After saving, you can open the file form and download.
  4. During the interview, candidates will be expected to present an original National Identity Card and certificates of their highest academic qualification; failure to produce these documents will lead to automatic disqualification.

KCB Foundation clarified that the scholarship does not cover accommodation costs. Successful applicants in need of accommodation will be required to make their own arrangements.

It also assured that all applicants will be given equal opportunity and will not be discriminated against based on disability, gender, religion, ethnicity, or region. All personal data collected will be processed in line with the Data Protection Act and relevant privacy laws, with the KCB Group Data Privacy Statement available at: https://ke.kcbgroup.com/data-privacy-statement.

The deadline for applications is Thursday, 14 August 2025, at 6:00 PM EAT, with interviews scheduled from 19 to 22 August 2025 at the listed institutions.
