The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board (KASNEB) have invited qualified professionals to apply to be engaged as accredited assessors and verifiers under Kenya’s competence-based education and training system.
In a joint public notice, the two institutions said the exercise is part of the continued rollout of a competence-based certification programme aimed at strengthening assessment, quality assurance, and industry relevance in professional training.
Successful applicants will support assessment activities in various subject areas and help uphold national quality standards.
KEBS and KASNEB Announce Job Opportunities
KEBS is the national standards body responsible for developing standards, certification, and quality assurance across sectors.
KASNEB develops and administers professional examinations and training programmes in Kenya.
The engagement is expected to link industry expertise with assessment in training institutions.
According to the notice, assessors and verifiers will be drawn from a wide range of subject areas.

The two bodies said applicants must meet strict minimum requirements.

Candidates must hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
They must also have relevant professional qualifications where applicable.
In addition, applicants must have at least 5 years of post-qualification teaching or industrial experience.
A strong background in assessment or verification of quality assurance is considered essential by the two companies.
Applicants must also demonstrate proven competence in technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
Knowledge of national regulatory frameworks is mandatory, including a clear understanding of TVET regulations and the requirements of the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF).
KEBS and KASNEB insisted that successful candidates must display high moral integrity and strong professionalism in their work.
In terms of engagement, the notice states that successful applicants will be trained, registered, and engaged as needed.
Engagement will be done in line with KASNEB policies and national quality assurance guidelines.

This means appointments will depend on assessment demand and subject-area requirements.
Rules for Application
According to the joint notice by KEBS and KASNEB, interested candidates must submit a complete application through online platforms managed by KEBS and KASNEB.
Applications must be submitted via the online form available on the KEBS website (www.kebs.org) and the KASNEB website (www.kasneb.or.ke).
Most importantly, manual applications will not be accepted.
Applicants are also required to attach several documents to their online submissions.
These include a detailed curriculum vitae showing current and previous roles, three professional referees with their full contact details, copies of academic and professional certificates, and a copy of a national identification card (ID) or passport.
All applications must be received on or before Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
KEBS and KASNEB also announced that persons with disabilities (PWD) are strongly encouraged to apply and should attach a valid registration card from the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
