Kenya Airways has issued a warning to the public regarding a fake job advert that has been circulating on social media platforms.
In a statement shared on June 8, the airline cautioned Kenyans against falling prey to such scams, emphasizing that all legitimate job postings are found exclusively on its official website.
The Airline also reiterated that it does not request any form of payment when recruiting individuals for jobs.
“This is a fake advertisement. All KQ job postings are available exclusively on our official website at kenya-airways.com. Please note that we never request any payment for job applications, ” read the statement by Kenya Airways.
The fake poster, which has been circulating since May 20, purports that the airline is in search of various positions, including airline food service, flight attendants, receptionists, booking clerks, and security guards.
The advertisement asked applicants to send their CVs to infokenyaairways@gmail.com before June 9, 2024, with the job title quoted in the email subject line.
Listed Qualifications in The Fake Job Advert
According to the advert, applicants must have a minimum qualification of “O” Level with a grade of D+ or above.
Additionally, it noted that further training in Communication skills would be an added advantage.

The advert also emphasized the importance of excellent computer skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
Additional Requirements for the Fake Kenya Airways Jobs
Other requirements included in the fake advert include possessing strong teamwork skills with exceptional people handling and problem-solving abilities.
The advert also promised a net salary range of 45,000-60,000 Ksh, which it said was negotiable after a three-month probation.
