President William Ruto has said all Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders will undergo training on etiquette during their Parliamentary Group retreat in Naivasha.
While speaking on Friday, September 16, as he officially opened the retreat, the president termed the table manners of some Kenya Kwanza leaders during meetings as embarrassing.
Thence, noting that the etiquette session will be necessary to equip them with the right behavioral skills.
Moreover, the Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary retreat that is set to run through the weekend.
Likewise, president Ruto on a light note intimated that a section of leaders within the coalition do not even know how to handle spoons and forks.
The etiquette training will be conducted on Saturday, September 17.
“Tomorrow we’re going to have a session to show you a bit of etiquette, we want to show you what to do because sometimes we get embarrassed when senior people don’t even know how to hold a spoon or a fork,” Dr. Ruto stated, arousing laughter and giggles from members of the alliance.
Additionally, the head of state noted that the Parliamentary Group meeting would provide room for the senior leaders in Kenya Kwanza to mentor their amateur counterparts as they kick off their duties in public service.
Nevertheless, the president urged pioneers in the team to be role models to the newbies in matters of governance and self-wellness, cautioning them against ridiculing and looking down on them.

“I want to ask the seniors who are here, let us take time to mentor the newcomers. Let us make it our responsibility. Don’t harass the younger ones and please be useful; show them how CDF and committees work, don’t assume people know how to do stuff,” he advised.
