Kenya Power has announced industrial attachment opportunities for the September–November 2026 intake. In its notice, the utility said the program targets continuing students seeking to gain hands-on work experience and develop key employability skills in line with the government’s youth empowerment agenda.
“In line with the Government’s commitment to support youth empowerment, Kenya Power is offering exciting attachment opportunities to continuing students to gain hands-on work experience and develop key employability skills,” the Kenya Power notice read in part.
Courses Eligible for Kenya Power’s September 2026 Attachment Intake
Further, Kenya Power explained that the attachment program is open to students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees and diplomas in technical and non-technical fields, as well as to those holding craft certificates in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Power Option), Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Building and Civil Engineering, and Plumbing.

Additionally, Kenya Power noted that no attachment opportunities are available for Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-related courses during this intake.
Successful applicants will undertake a three-month attachment in various departments from September to November 2026.
“There are no vacancies for Information & Communication Technology (ICT)related courses for this intake. The industrial attachment opportunities are available in various Departments for a maximum period of three (3) months, effective September to November 2026. Kindly note the Allowable period for attachment is 3months,” the company stated.
Requirements for Attachment Applicants
Kenya Power has outlined the requirements that applicants must meet to qualify for the September–November 2026 Industrial Attachment Program.

To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be available full-time for the entire three-month attachment period.
- Be a continuing student pursuing a Degree, Diploma or eligible Craft Certificate at an accredited learning institution.
- Have a valid letter of introduction from their learning institution.
- Hold valid personal accident insurance cover for the full duration of the attachment.
Applicants should also quote the correct reference number based on their level of study when submitting their applications.

- Go to the Kenya Power website: http://www.kplc.co.ke
- Click on the Public Information tab.
- Select the Career Opportunities section.
- Open the Industrial Attachment Opportunities (September–November 2026 Intake) notice.
- Complete and submit the online application form with the required details.
- Submit your application by Monday, July 27, 2026.
- Wait for feedback from Kenya Power, as only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
“Applications should be received not later than Monday,27th, July 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification,” Kenya Power emphasized.
