Earlier, the council had released a statement confirming that results for March 2024 Business & Technical examinations were released on 17th June 2024.
Further, the council gave an ultimatum to teachers in training to lodge their queries on the results through the Query Management Information System (QMIS) before or on 17th July 2024.
In addition, KNEC clarified that queries received after the said date would attract a charge of Ksh5,000.
This statement comes days, after the council gave guidelines on the release of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificates for candidates who sat for the examinations in 2022.
The 2022 KCSE results were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday, January 20, 2023, while the 2023 results were released on January 8, 2024.

While releasing the results, Machogu revealed that KNEC used a new grading system where the examiners picked Mathematics, one language and five other best performed subjects to compute the final mean grade.
He explained that the new grading system would help to ensure candidates do not fall short of pursuing their dream courses in universities.
On the other hand, the Parliamentary Committee on Education prepared a report on examination malpractice that highlighted several key findings from the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE), which confirmed that there were examination irregularities witnessed in the 2022 KCSE Examination.
