Mbavu the destroyer (Ferdinand Omondi) has responded to claim that he allegedly sued Oga Obinna and his opponent, Majembe (Portifas Odipo) after losing a match.
During an interview with Obinna TV, Mbavu stated that he is not aware of the ongoing claims despite a court order having his name.
“ I am not aware of such claims, and I’m getting to hear about them from you for the first time. Those are lies, I have not sued anyone, ” said Mbavu.
He further stated that if a person wronged him, he would not go to court; instead, he would trace them and have the matter handled physically between them.
“I can’t take a case to court when I can track someone and deal with them on my own.”
The case, filed with the Sports Disputes Tribunal, names opponents Majembe and Obinna as respondents, has been certified as urgent, and is scheduled for a mention on April 15, 2026.
Oga Obinna Claims Majembe Sued Him After Match Loss
In a social media post on Friday, April 10, 2026, Obinna revealed he had been served with court papers but ignored them.
Obinna questioned the legitimacy of the documents, asking if Mbavu was not suing them, then who instructed Advocate Dennis to proceed with the case.
He further suggested that if the signature on the documents did not belong to Mbavu, then it could amount to forgery and extortion.
Obinna went on to allege that opportunistic lawyers and poor advisers may have misled Mbavu into taking legal actions and called for Mbavu to sign an affidavit confirming that he is not pursuing the case, stating that he is ready to confront the matter legally through his lawyer.

Elsewhere, in a viral video, Majembe questioned Mbavu’s motives and wondered whether the little money they were given was prompting the hasty decision to sue him.
“I just woke up, and I am not happy. I woke up to this (shows screen) saying they need me in court on April 15, saying we took someone’s property. Now I am wondering, where will I get a lawyer with all that money? With the little money we have been given, they have already started bringing up issues. Was it a must for you to win?” he said.
Majembe further explained that the day after the game, he reached out to his manager and asked him to call Mbavu’s manager and find out how he was doing.
Mbavu’s complaints include an alleged groin punch from Majembe in the fourth round, the referee’s failure to disqualify the opponent, not declaring a technical draw, and the wrongful declaration of Majembe as the winner.
Majembe Wins in a Boxing Match
The much‑anticipated boxing showdown between Mbavu Destroyer (Ferdinand Omondi) and Majembe (Portifas Odipo) ended in round four with a dramatic stoppage.
21-year-old Majembe claimed victory via technical knockout after landing a punishing blow below Mbavu’s belly. The strike left Mbavu down on the canvas, writhing in pain.
Ringside medics rushed in to attend to him, but after several minutes, he signaled that he could not continue. The referee declared Majembe the winner by TKO.

At one point, the match had to be briefly stopped as fans surged close to the ring. It was in round four that the decisive moment arrived. Majembe’s body shot below Mbavu’s belly left the older fighter writhing in pain.
The match was halted for over ten minutes as medics attended to Mbavu, who eventually declared he could not continue. The commissioner then stepped forward to make the official announcement:
“Because Mbavu Destroyer cannot continue with the fight, we are now going back to the scorecards. Judge 1: 30 red corners, 27 blue corners. Judge 2: 30 red corners, 27 blue corners. Judge 3: 30 red corners, 27 blue corners. The winner by TKO is red corner Portifas Odipo, aka Majembe.”
The declaration sent the crowd into a frenzy, with fans erupting in celebration as they raised Majembe’s hand.
