Moreover, the Nairobi-Nanyuki Railway was reinstated following the restoration of the Rail line by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Its revival brought to life a project which had been dormant for more than two decades.
The Nairobi to Nanyuki line cuts through Nairobi-Thika-Maragua- Sagana-Karatina-Nanyuki.
Furthermore, the Nairobi Commuter Railways was revamped as part of efforts to ease traffic congestion along city roads.
The rehabilitation project which began in 2020 commenced with upgrades to the Nairobi Railway station and those within the neighboring counties of Kiambu and Machakos, among others.
As such, it is seen as one of retire President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successful projects.
