Migori County Police are on the hunt for the driver of a vehicle which was involved in a hit-and-run incident on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
According to Migori police commander Mark Wanjala, the hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a 65-year-old man at Komire in Awendo Sub County.
“The deceased was crossing the road when he was hit by the speeding vehicle. He died on the spot,” Wanjala noted.
Moreover, the driver of the ill-fated vehicle fled the scene after the incident.
In addition, the Police have asked the suspect, who was driving the black vehicle to surrender to himself to the authorities.
“We are appealing to members of the public to visit the nearest police station if they have any information that will help in the investigations,” police said.
