The Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has appointed his former running mate Faith Mwaura as a member of the Kenya Development Corporation (KDC) board of directors.
The Kenya Development Corporation is a state-owned development finance institution that provides long-term financing, financial investments, and business advisory services.

According to a gazette notice, Mwaura will serve for a three-year term effective June 16, 2023.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) (e) of the State Corporations Act, as read together with section 51 of the Interpretations and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry appoints Faith Mwaura,” read the notice in part.
The duo ran for the 2022 Kiambu Gubernatorial seat during the 2022 general elections and lost to Kimani wa Matangi after garnering 24,512 votes.
Mwaura is a real estate entrepreneur with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Daystar University and a master’s in real estate from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
