The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has announced the death of Peter Kagwi of Kagwi Githuku & Company Advocates.
In a condolence note on April 2, Eric Kivuva, Chair, LSK Nairobi Branch said Kagwi was found dead in his office on April 1, 2025.

LSK mourned him as a committed professional, particularly known for his advocacy of mediation as an alternative method for resolving disputes.
He said Kagwi made a significant impact on the legal community and society as a whole.

Peter was deeply passionate about political leadership, business, acquiring knowledge, and spiritual growth
Kagwi has been mourned as an extraordinary individual who consistently exuded joy in his interactions.

“We extend our sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and all who had the honor of working alongside him. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace,” reads part of the note.
He has been a law firm proprietor at Kagwi Githuku & Company Advocates since September 2023.
Peter Kagwi Experience & Past Jobs
Kagwi was the Youth Leader and Discipleship Facilitator at DICC All Saints Community Chapel in Ruai, Nairobi.
He was also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director at Laspreneur Limited.
Kagwi took over this position in December 2015.
Between July 2022 and September 2023, he worked as an Associate Advocate (Litigation & Dispute-Resolution Department) at Irene Maithya & Company Advocates.

Additionally, Kagwi worked as a Holding over & Associate Advocate from April 2022 to July 2022 at V.M Randa & Company Advocates.
He is the founder of Forex, Binary & CryptoCurrency Institute.
He served as a Trainer and Trader at the Institute from January 2017 to August 2021.
Kagwi was a Pupil at Musyoki Benson & Associates Advocates between July 2019 and January 2020.

Education & Certifications
Kagwi pursued Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Nairobi (UoN).
He graduated in December 2015 with Second Class Honours (Lower Division).
He joined the Kenya School of Law (KSL) in February 2017 and attained his Post Graduate Diploma in Law, Advocates’ Training in January. 2022
Besides, Kagwi had a Certified Secretary (Foundation Level) from KASNEB.
He had a Certificate of Completion in Basic Theology & Training in Church from Eneza Church Planting School – Nairobi Chapel.
He attended this training between September 2018 and March 2021.
