He has a knife on his desk. He tells them he will stab them, which is why we say we have no trust in this school. The headteacher is here; we want him out of this school, go for good,” said Peter Gachie, a parent at Nyakianga Primary School.

The Education Officer within Mathioya, Gabriel Kinoru, called for calmness among parents and said teachers are innocent even as he looks into the matter.
“Teachers are not guilty; I know where you are aiming. I have taken my notes; I will go to higher offices to explain how this issue is unfolding, and they will listen to me, so let’s maintain peace at this time. Let’s bring the children back to school on Monday,” the Education Officer stated.
The Police Commandant, Moses Emanjong, on his part, said that disrupting learning by parents within the institution will interfere with the children’s education.
