Kenyans have been cautioned against being involved in any transactions concerning hundreds of pieces of land (plots) in Embakasi, Nairobi.
In a notice that has since caused confusion, the Embakasi Jua Kali Housing Association on October 29, 2024, announced the dismissal of a previous notice regarding the sale of 516 plots.
The Association’s secretary in response to a notice published by the Embakasi Developers Ltd on Friday, October 25, labelled the notice misleading while clarifying that the properties are not for sale.
“We, EMBAKASI JUA KALI HOUSING ASSOCIATION wish to inform our members and the general public at large that the 516 plots (properties) excised from LR NO. 7109/3 LR NO. 7109/4 LR NO. 7109/5 and LR NO. 7109/7 are not up for sale as the aforementioned advertisement stated,” the notice reads.
Embakasi Jua Kali Housing Association has termed the advertisement as false and misleading, adding that the said properties are the subject matter of an ongoing legals dispute.
