MCA Who Threatened to Impeach Wavinya Ndeti Reported Missing

A Member of County Assembly (MCA) in Machakos County, Dominic Maitha has been reported missing after he threatened to table an impeachment motion against Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti.

While addressing members of the press, one of his colleagues mentioned that he went missing on Tuesday, March 25.

“From yesterday, his whereabouts have been unknown, and owing to the fact that last week he spoke heavily concerning the issue of impeachment of our Governor of Machakos,” said his colleague.

Further, the missing MCA’s colleague called on the public and the security agencies to help them fast-track to establish where honorable Maitha is.

“We want to make an appeal to the government of Macahakos to also tell us where mheshimiwa could be because there has been a lot of tension because of the ongoing issue of speaker of the Assembly impeachment,” he said.

Dominic Maitha Reported Missing

Maitha’s father also appealed to people allegedly holding his son to release him.

Dominic’s wife Jane Muthoni said that her husband’s phone was not going through.

“He left the house around 7:00 a.m. heading to the County Assembly. He passed by the house in Kaloleni before reaching Parliament. Later in the evening, around 7:30 p.m., he called me.

He told me he would sleep at home because he would be late in Machakos and was required in Machakos early the following day, so I said okay. Around 10:30 p.m., we talked; he was within Machakos, he hadn’t reached home yet, but he told me he would still sleep at home. Then in the morning, around 9:00 a.m. (Wednesday), I called him to check on him, but his phone was off,” the wife narrated.
