The family of a Kenyan policeman who died in a road accident in Haiti on Sunday, August 31, 2025, has broken its silence.
Speaking in a media interview on Wednesday, September 4, 2025, the mother of Corporal Kennedy Mutuku, who was serving under the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) in Haiti, revealed her last conversation with her son over the phone.
According to his mother, Serah Ndunge, she last spoke to him on Friday, August 29, 2025. During the call, Mutuku told her about his stay in Haiti and assured her that he was enjoying his time there.
“We spoke on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, I didn’t call him. He was happy and had no problems there. Whenever he spoke, he kept saying that he really liked the experience,” she said.
