Biography
James Maina Ng’ang’a, also known as Pastor Ng’ang’a, is a prominent preacher in the Pentecostal denomination.
He is the founder and leader of Neno Evangelism Church, where he oversees all religious activities.

Apostle James is married to Murugi Ng’ang’a, his second wife, whom he married in 2012.
Career
He is well-known for addressing controversial matters and speaking his mind without fear, which has sparked public discourse several times.
His dramatic exorcism sessions, where he claims to cast out demons, have often been criticized as staged or exaggerated. Despite this, his teachings and sermons have made him popular among Kenyans.
Ng’ang’a’s work as an evangelist began after he served two and a half years in Shimo la Tewa Prison.
In a recent interview, he disclosed that he received salvation after a preacher ministered to him while they were both in prison.
He was first jailed in 1972 for six months and revealed that he was in and out of prison until 1989 when he decided to follow God after someone preached to him.
He started preaching after his release in the 1990s and founded Neno Evangelism in 1992 in Mombasa.

Initially, he founded Neno Evangelism alongside Bishop Wafula but later relocated to Nairobi, where he established Neno Evangelism Centre in 2005 along Haile Selassie Avenue, in the Railways area.
Apostle James has had a land dispute with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over the ownership of his church land.
He has been accused by the EACC of grabbing land belonging to the Kenya Railways Corporation, but he strongly denies these allegations, claiming he legally purchased the land.
His ministry has expanded and now boasts several branches throughout the country, making Ng’ang’a a household name.

Apostle Ng’ang’a is one of the most affluent evangelical pastors in Kenya.
Besides leading one of the largest churches in the country, he runs several businesses, including Sunny Hill Hotel, a hotel worth millions along Nakuru Nairobi Road near the Karai area.
Additionally, he owns a large farm in Kajiado named Jerusalem City, a posh mansion in Karen, and is involved in the car-selling business.
Apostle James also owns a Range Rover sports car worth millions.
