He had taken over from Pastor Awitta, who was appointed to the position in 2020.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta had appointed Awitta among a list of former military individuals who had occupied plum government positions.
On the other hand, Bare’s appointment came after President Ruto revoked the appointment of four board members of KRC.
Ruto makes changes
In a January gazette notice, the four who had been appointed during former President Uhuru’s tenure, ceased to be members of the board.
