The Social Health Authority (SHA) has issued a statement clarifying reports of vacancies within its institution.
In a statement dated Saturday, April 19, 2025, the institution flagged a poster circulating on social media as fake.
The misleading poster alleged that SHA had advertised 28 positions for qualified candidates to apply for. Among the positions mentioned in the misleading post were roles such as Human Resource Officers, Social Workers, Office Assistants, and Accountants.
It also included technical and administrative positions like Auditors, Store Keepers, Drivers, ICT Officers, and Security Officers. Further positions mentioned in the fraudulent notice included Cleaners, Nurses, Receptionists, Office Managers, and Clerical Officers.
SHA Dismisses Reports of Massive Job Recruitments
The list continued with Field Agents, Health Records Officers, and Supply Chain Managers. Additional roles such as Public Health Officers, Laboratory Technologists, Community Health Extension Workers, Nutritionists, and Pharmaceutical Technologists were also included.
Other advertised positions consisted of Occupational Therapists, Internship/Attachment opportunities, and Psychological Counsellors. Furthermore, the fake advertisement alleged that candidates who wished to apply for the advertised positions should meet the following requirements:
- Must be a holder of a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate from a recognized learning institution.
- Must be a Kenyan citizen of 18 years and above and of sound mind.
- Must possess KRA, SHA, NSSF, and ID.
- Must be able to speak fluent English and Kiswahili or both, as well as a local language for community educators only.
- Experience of work with proof in an area of application will be an added advantage.

Qualified and interested applicants were further instructed to forward their application letter and updated CVs with at least two (2) referees to [email protected] by the close of business April 27, 2025.

The fake advertisement alleged that all advertised positions were permanent and pensionable, except for interns and attachés.
