Foreigners in Nairobi were stranded when organizers failed to appear at the East Africa–Thai Medical Expo 2025. In a notice dated Thursday, 23 October 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi issued a statement distancing itself from the failed Expo, originally scheduled for September 25–27, 2025, at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi.
The Embassy clarified that the event aimed to bring together Thai medical exhibitors under the theme “Beyond Medicine: Connecting Innovation, Affordability and Care.” However, it had no financial or organizational involvement in the Expo.
“We hereby clarify that the Embassy was not a financial guarantor, organizer, facilitator or contracting party in the agreement between the Thai exhibitors and Hope HealJunction Limited or any of the company’s service providers,” read the notice.
