Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has been ranked among the most performing MPs by the latest Infotrak ranking.
The report, released on Sunday, November 5, ranked Kenya’s 50 best performing members of parliament with Nyoro coming first with 70 percent.
At the same time, Kangema MP Peter Irungu came in second, scoring 68 percent.
Irungu was followed by Igembe South Member of Parliament John Paul Mwirigi who ranked third with 66 percent, tying the position with Kathiani’s Robert Mbui, Khwisero’s Christopher Aseka, Gideon Mutemi of Mwingi and Geroge Opondo of Homa Bay.

Further, Infotrak noted that the poll was conducted between July and September 2023, sampling a total of over 58,000 respondents.
The ranking was done by respondents who were majorly drawn from Nairobi.
“This performance rating is the first of its kind and magnitude in Kenya. It provides Kenyans and other interested stakeholders with robust statistics by ward on the perception of constituency residents over the member of Parliament performance,” the report read in part.
Other MPs On the Ranking List
Notably, Samburu West MP Lesuuda Naisula ranked sixth with 63 percent, tying the position with nine other members of parliament.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino topped the Nairobi list coming in at position nine with 60 percent.
In addition, he tied the position with Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, Ugunja’s Opiyo Wandayi and nine others.
Following closely was Mavoko legislator Patrick Makau who came in 10th with 59 percent together with Kimilili’s Didmus Wekesa Barasa and others.
Also, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa came in at the 12th position with 57 per cent tying with several others.

Special Category Ranking
On the other hand, Nyoro was ranked the best performing young MP followed by Mwirigi Wangaya, and Peter Salasya.
Furthermore, Lesuuda was ranked the best-performing female MP followed by Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo with 60 per cent and Wanjiku Muhia of Kipipiri at 59 per cent.
