A report by Infotrak Research and Consulting has revealed that ten ministries had a grade D in the performance scorecard for the first ten months in the office.
In the report, the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, led by CS Alfred Mutua, is among the departments with grade D.
Further, the infotrak report shows that the Ministry for Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative Action headed by CS Aisha Jumwa is the worst performing CS with D as well.
Also, in the list of worst performing CSs is Moses Kuria of Trade Investment, and Industry.
In the ratings, CS Mutua scored a mean rating of 49%, CS Jumwa 48% while Kuria had 47%.
Other D CSs
Infotrak rates CS Zacharia Mwangi Njeru of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development at 48%.
Additionally, the Ministry of Mining together with that of Labour and Social Protection tied at a mean score of 46%.
The two ministries are led by CS Salim Mvurya and Florence Bore, respectively.
Moreover, three other ministries including, National Treasury (Njuguna Ndung’u); Cooperative and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Simon Chelugui) and East African Community, Arid and Semi-Arid and Regional Development (Rebecca Miano) also scored 46%.
Further, CS Energy and Petroleum Davis Chirchir was ranked last with a mean score of 43%.

Infotrak Best Performing CSs
However, the report shows that eleven ministries scored a mean score of C, which is above 50% in the last ten months.
Interior and National Administration CS Kithure Kindiki recorded the best performance with a score of 56%.
Education CS Ezekiel Machongu followed closely with 55%.
Further, CS Roads, Transport and Public Works Kipchumba Murkomen and Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi tied at 54%.
Defence CS Aden Duale and Health CS Susan Nakhumicha came in fifth both with 53%.
Additionally, ICT CS Eliud Owalo was ranked seventh with 52% followed by Sports CS Ababu Namwamba and Tourism CS Peninah Malonza.
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (Soipan Tuya) together with that of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation (Alice Wahome) both scored 50%.

Infotrak Ruto’s Performance
According to the Infotrak report, President William Ruto scored 55%, which is a C, in his first one year in office.
Infotrak stated that 9% of Kenyans believe that President Ruto’s performance was excellent while 20% marked it as good.
However, 40% ranked President Ruto’s performance as average while 30% believed it was poor.
Additionally, 30% of Kenyans believe that the country is headed in the right direction while 53% believe that the nation is headed towards the wrong direction.
