Nicole Omondi, the 25-year-old woman who survived a fall from a sixth-floor apartment in Thome Estate, has described how her girlfriend, a police officer, allegedly beat and pushed her during a violent domestic dispute.
Omondi, who is receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital for severe spinal injuries and multiple fractures, told family members that the female officer accused her of cheating after seeing messages from a man on her phone.
The argument escalated quickly into physical violence, according to accounts shared by relatives.

Omondi later confirmed to her family that the cop hit her repeatedly on the head with a bottle.
She tried to get air on the balcony but was followed, dragged back inside, and pushed over the edge. Omondi survived the fall after landing on iron sheets and razor wire below the balcony.
She remains paralyzed from the waist down and is awaiting surgery.

The incident occurred after the two women returned from a night out drinking.
According to family members, an argument broke out inside the apartment when the officer accused Omondi of cheating.
They further stated that Nicole called her father during the altercation, crying and reporting that she was being physically assaulted.
The call then disconnected abruptly, and when her father called back, the police officer answered and reportedly told him she was “disciplining” Omondi before ending the conversation.
Neighbors heard screams, and the apartment was later found with broken bottles and blood, according to reports from those close to the investigation.
A good Samaritan discovered Omondi after the fall and alerted emergency services.
While receiving initial treatment, Omondi asked that her sister and a close friend be contacted, which helped the family learn of the situation.
Family members claim the officer was later seen at the hospital but left after an encounter with them.
Victim’s Family Demands Swift Action
Nicole Omondi’s relatives have called for a transparent and impartial investigation.
They allege that previous attempts to seek help were ignored and that the cop in question had assaulted Nicole before, including an incident involving a glass bottle.
One family member told the media that the Officer Commanding Station at Kasarani had said “nothing can happen to her” when approached for intervention.
DCI officers have reconstructed the scene at the apartment building.

Calls Grow for Police Accountability
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is reviewing security footage and access logs from the building.
The police have stated that only the Independent Policing Oversight Authority can handle cases involving officers, and the process awaits a formal statement from Omondi.
The case has drawn widespread attention on social media, with many Kenyans questioning why Ndanu remains free.
Activists and residents in Kasarani have expressed shock, particularly within the LGBTQ community, which views the incident as highlighting risks in domestic relationships.
The Independent Policing Oversight Authority has been urged to act quickly.
