Osoro’s Home Invaded by Angry Youth
The invasion of Parliament on Tuesday, June 25, during the anti-Finance Bill demonstration, which occurred shortly after the bill was passed, caused fear among some of the members of parliament.
In addition, several MPs had their property destroyed by protesters who were expressing their frustration with the Finance Bill 2024.
On Thursday, June 27, protesters surrounded Osoro’s home in an attempt to storm in. Reports indicated that the angry protesters wanted to torch his house as a show of discontent for supporting the punitive finance bill 2024.
However, a contingent of police officers had been deployed to guard the home. The cops were seen trying to calm down the protesters after they threatened to storm in.
After protesters raided and vandalized the home of Molo MP and National Assembly Finance and Planning Chairperson Kuria Kimani on Tuesday, eventually setting it on fire, the government deployed police officers to guard the home of Sylvanus Osoro.

Osoro Insists on Supporting Finance Bill 2024
Speaking to the press earlier, Osoro said that he will not apologize for voting yes to the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
He added that if the bill were to be presented to the house again, he would still approve of it. According to him, taxpayers have tightened their belts to reduce the fiscal deficit in the country.
“Ground check! Just told my people, that I simply respected the president’s decision, but I did not agree with him. Yaani, kama ni leo ilikuwa ukuje bunge, bado ninge-VOTE YEEES!! (If it was to come to parliament today, I would have voted yes,” he said.
Also, the MP said that his people had been robbed of access to development through rural electrification program that was expected to be boosted by Ksh50 million plus additional bursary allocation amounting to Ksh30 million.
He expressed concerns that the future of permanent employment for 2,000 intern teachers from South Mugirango, who were set to be absorbed by the Teachers Service Commission, is now uncertain.
