Paul Ng’eno, the brother of the late Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ng’eno, has died while receiving treatment at the Tophill Hospital, Eldoret.
In a statement shared on Saturday, Leguta Temas, a family member, said, “It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paul Ngeno, elder brother to Johana Ngeno Ngong, which happened yesterday at 4 pm at Tophill Hospital, Eldoret. May God comfort us and give us strength at this difficult time. Pray for us all.”
According to the family, Paul had been battling an illness for an extended period following a motorbike accident that affected his spinal cord and throat area.
His death comes barely a day after former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua stepped in to help settle his medical bill, which had reportedly risen to KSh1.8 million.

According to reports, only part of the amount was expected to be covered through SHA, leaving a substantial balance for the family to raise.
Paul grew up alongside five siblings and was the only brother of the late MP and the only surviving son of the family matriarch, Mary Temas.
His father, Ngong Ng’eno Ole Kisiara, died years earlier, and the surviving siblings of the late Paul include his sisters Elizabeth Chumo and Sarah Temas.
Paul also had another sibling, Janeth Chepkosgei, who died before Johana.
Condolences to the Family of the Late Paul Ng’eno
Bernard Ngeno, a former personal assistant to the late Johanna Ng’eno, who unsuccessfully vied for the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary seat, has sent his condolences to the family.
Members of the public have also sent condolence messages to the family for the loss of their only surviving son. Friends and supporters described the loss as heartbreaking, dealing another blow to a family still in mourning.
Gachagua has also issued his condolences and prayers to Mary Temas following the death of Paul. In his message, the former deputy president encouraged Mary to trust in God, adding that no consolation is strong given the loss to the family and the people of Emurua Dikirr.
‘To Mama Mary Temas, mother of the late Emurua Dikirr MP, Hon. Johanna Ng’eno, pole sana on the loss of your son, Mr. Paul Ng’eno, who had been hospitalized for a while. No words of consolation are strong enough for you at this moment, but only God’s grace is sufficient. I pray for you, Mama Mary,” Gachagua noted.
