Dr. David Owuor of the Repentance and Holiness Church, popularly known as Prophet Owuor, has addressed a fabricated image circulating on social media that claims he communicates with God via WhatsApp.
In a statement on February 10, 2026, the church noted that the claims are entirely false, baseless, and malicious.
“It has come to our attention that a fabricated image is circulating on social media, falsely alleging that Prophet Dr Owuor engages in WhatsApp communication with GOD. This claim is entirely false, baseless, and malicious,” the notice read.
The statement explained that Prophet Owuor has never made, displayed, or alluded to such communication.
Circulation of the material is deliberate and is intended to mislead the public and openly ridicule the Christian Faith.
“The circulating material is a deliberate fabrication intended to mislead the public, ridicule the Christian faith, and distract from the central message of repentance, holiness, and preparation for the coming of the MESSIAH,” the statement mentioned.
Believers and the public at large have been urged to disregard the false narrative and not to give it attention on social media platforms or share it.
At the same time, Prophet Owuor asked believers to remain anchored in the truth as the prepared the way for the coming of the Messiah.
“Let us remain discerning, anchored in truth, and focused on the genuine call to repentance and holiness,” the notice stated.

Miracles of Prophet Owuor
Prophet Owuor’s work and miracles have sparked debate among Kenyans, with some people believing them and others claiming they are false.
The prophet claimed to have performed a scientifically impossible miracle by healing a person with HIV/AIDS.
After a retest in South Africa, the test results were negative, and the healing was brought about by a healing decree from the prophet.
However, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale warned against narratives that undermine medicine and patient safety.
“Whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Jewish, we still take our medicine for different ailments,” Duale said as he spoke at Citizen TV on January 28.
