Nairobi County Government has effected the immediate closure of Quiver Steak House Milimani.
The move followed multiple complaints from residents because of unbearable noise pollution throughout the night from the establishment.
“This evening, a joint operation by Nairobi County Liquor, Enforcement and Environment teams’ has been effected in the closure of Quiver Milimani with immediate effect.
“Order must prevail in the city in the sun,” a statement from the county government read in part.
In a report by Citizen TV, the residents of Milimani lamented that they experience sleepless nights, and their plea and complaints are not taken seriously by the management of the club and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).
Also, while the establishment sits a few meters from the Military headquarters, the State House, and the County Commander of Nairobi Headquarters, none of the authorities moved to take action after the noise complaints.

Family at NSSF Apartments Explain Quiver Menace
One of the families at the estate narrated their ordeal with the management of the club, saying that they have had to call them several times to reduce the noise.
The family which has three newborn babies, said that they are unable to sleep because of the noise, which goes on throughout the night.
“Since they introduced the live band three months ago, these guys play music until past 3:00 AM,” Otieno Wafula, a resident said.
We don’t understand who licensed this establishment to be put up here. It is a problem, and we do not want it anymore,” Wycliffe Ochieng, the Milimani resident’s chairman added.
On the other hand, the Nairobi County Environment Chief Officer Geofrey Musira insisted that the department was working to ensure that residents were not disturbed by noise pollution.
“We have to do what is humanly right. We have to save those sick in their houses suffering and those newborns and young children struggling to do homework,” Musira stated.
Meanwhile, the Quiver management has said that the complainants should meet them and let them know which volume level is acceptable.
