Education CS George Magoha says the remaining 3,500 Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) classrooms will be completed before August polls.
Magoha was speaking at Hospital Hill High School after inspecting the on-going construction of CBC Classrooms.
He further noted that contractors are under strict instructions to complete the works as soon as possible.
“We are doing extremely well; our construction time has reduced by one week. We are now able to construct a four cornered classroom within two and a half weeks,” Magoha stated.
Moreover, the education CS urged principals and head teachers not to send home students with fee balances.
“I am aware that in Nyandarua there has been a massive removal of children because of fees, those children should go back to school immediately because the money I have talked about should have hit their bank accounts by yesterday. Let us be sensitive to our parents and give them time,” he added.
Likewise, the Education CS assured Kenyans earlier this year that his ministry will deliver 10,000 CBC classrooms by July.

Furthermore, while speaking after he commissioned a CBC classrooms and two laboratories at Kapsabet Boys High School on March 18, Magoha stated that 6,497 classes are to be delivered in the first phase and the remaining 3,503 in the second phase to begin in May.
Meanwhile, the CS reported that as of now, 4,000 classrooms have been completed in the first phase.
According to Prof Magoha, this translates to 85 per cent, and the remaining 15 per cent will be completed soonest.
