Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has launched a valuation program of all the fixed assets owned by the Nairobi City County Government.
In a statement on Tuesday February 27, Sakaja explained that the exercise will help to identify, verify and validate all fixed assets that are owned by the county for valuation.
Besides, the valuation program will prevent land grabbing cases in the city.
“The exercise will help in identifying county’s properties, the location and the value of the assets for accurate data entry in the books and proper financing for a step change improvements and developments in the city,” stated the Governor.
“The process will also help in cleaning up the county properties data and prevent land grabbing of county owned lands,” said Sakaja.
Sakaja Highlights Completed Projects & Future Projects
Sakaja also highlighted some of the projects he has initiated since taking office.
In a newsletter dated February 24, the governor provided an update on the progress the county has made in various sectors.
He also outlined upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being and prosperity of all residents of Nairobi.
In particular, the Nairobi County chief explained that the county has made significant strides in improving healthcare access and services.

“We are committed to ensuring that every resident has access to quality healthcare services, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status,” he said.
The governor also mentioned the Dishi Na County program which he noted was instrumental in supporting the education sector by providing meals for school-going children.
Additionally, he said the county has promoted public health and quality of life through the Green Army group.
“Our ongoing sanitation efforts through the Green Army include waste management programs, public awareness campaigns, and infrastructure improvements to ensure clean and sustainable communities,” said Sakaja.

He also mentioned that the government is working to improve road infrastructure, expand public transportation networks, and promote sustainable mobility solutions.
This he said will enhance connectivity across our county and enhance overall quality of life for our residents.
Sakaja said his administration is dedicated to providing tailored financial management and support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
This includes access to financing, training, and market opportunities, to foster entrepreneurship and drive economic development within the county.
