Stanley Kenga is a Kenyan politician from Magarini Constituency, Kilifi County, which is in the coastal region of Kenya.
Kenga, who was formerly campaigning under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) umbrella, is now eyeing the Magarini parliamentary seat in the forthcoming by-elections, under the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) alliance.
He ran for the Magarini parliamentary seat in 2022 and lost the seat by garnering 11,925 votes against his immediate competitor, Harrison Kombe, who defeated him thinly with a 21-vote difference by getting 11,946 votes.
This defeat led to a legal battle, with Kenga filing a petition challenging Kombe’s win, and the High Court declaring it nullified, citing electoral irregularities, illegal vote-tallying, and IEBC officer misconduct.

The Court of Appeal and Supreme Court upheld this in 2024, cleared the seat and paved the way for the November 27, 2025, by-election.
Kenga was cleared by the IEBC in October 2025 as DCP’s flagbearer, dismissing claims of being a “proxy” for Gachagua’s scores-settling and rejecting reported job offers from the Kenya Kwanza administration to step aside.
Stanley Kenga’s Educational Background
Kenga attended Lake Kenyatta Primary School for his early childhood education, completing the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
He then joined Mpeketoni Secondary School in 1990 for his high school education, completing his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)in 1993.
Stanley enrolled at the Technical University of Kenya in 2018 and graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering in 2022.
Currently, he has been pursuing a Master of Science in Construction Engineering and Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) since 2022.
Kenga’s Career
Kenga’s political journey began in 2007 when he was elected as a councillor for Adu Ward in the former Kilifi District Council, through the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)
This marked his entry into local governance under the then-dominant Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

He transitioned to the devolved system after the 2010 Constitution and won the Adu Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in 2013, securing a re-election in 2017, both under the ODM ticket.
During this period as an MCA, he served as Deputy Speaker of the Kilifi County Assembly, advocating for youth empowerment, infrastructure improvements, and resolution of human-wildlife conflicts plaguing Magarini’s farming communities.
He is also a businessman in Magarini, where his popularity rose due to his efforts in fixing boat engines and providing relief aid during difficult times.
