State House Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei has called out people impersonating him to extort government officials.
In a statement on Friday, August 4, Koskei condemned the people he did not mention and told public officials to be on high alert.
“It has regrettably come to my attention that unscrupulous criminal elements are moving from one government office to the next intimidating state officials and extorting money in my name.
I call upon Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and CEOs of state corporations to be wary of these crooks and promptly report them to the appropriate authorities for swift action,” Koskei’s statement read.
Furthermore, the Chief of Staff went ahead to say that the era of trying to cheat Kenyans is long gone and these actions will not be taken lightly.
