In a statement on Monday, November 25, Shiksha said that she had decided to prioritize peace of mind over any financial gain.
According to the dancing TV47 host, money was not worth the stress of staying at a toxic workplace.
“Is money worth the stress and toxic work environment in some places of work? At this point in my life, I’m choosing peace of mind over everything. If something isn’t bringing me peace, it must go!” she shared in her post.

Further, she noted that working in marketing was stressful, leaving blanks on the specific job she was addressing.
Although she did not specify the exact role or organization she referred to, her message resonated with many Kenyans who also shared their experiences in toxic jobs.

In response, Shiksha acknowledged that some people stay in such environments to provide.
“Fair. Sometimes you have to stick it out just to put food on the table but at this point in my career, it’s peace of mind over money,” she noted.
