Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) listed a total of 323,283 registered voters across Nyamira County.
Nyamira is divided into four constituencies including Kitutu Masaba, West Mugirango, North Mugirango, and Borabu.
According to the IEBC data, Kitutu Masaba leads with 106,269 registered voters, followed by West Mugirango with 88,199, North Mugirango with 64,750, and Borabu trailing closely at 64,065.
Currently, Nyamira’s representation in Parliament is split between the two major political factions United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

UDA holds West Mugirango, represented by Stephen Mogaka, and North Mugirango, led by Joash Nyamoko.

Meanwhile, ODM maintains control over Borabu, represented by Patrick Osero, and Kitutu Masaba, where Clive Gisairo serves as the MP.
As of now, Amos Nyaribo serves as the Governor of Nyamira County.
The county is represented in the Senate by Okong’o Omogeni, while Jerusha Momanyi is the Woman Representative.
