Kilifi County had 588,602 voters as of 2022, according to figures from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Kilifi North leads with 116,742 registered voters, followed by Kilifi South with 97,696. Malindi has 94,605 voters, while Magarini has 80,128.
Kaloleni and Ganze have 73,009 and 67,257 voters respectively. Rabai, the constituency with the fewest registered voters, has a total of 59,165.
Covering an area of 12,610 square kilometers, Kilifi accounts for 2.17 percent of Kenya’s total landmass.
It borders Tana River County to the north, Taita Taveta to the west, Mombasa and Kwale to the south, and the Indian Ocean to the east.

Kilifi’s political landscape is diverse, with representation from multiple parties.
The current Members of Parliament include Owen Yaa Baya (United Democratic Alliance – UDA) for Kilifi North, Ken Chonga (Orange Democratic Movement – ODM) for Kilifi South, and Katana Paul Kahindi (ODM) for Kaloleni.

Rabai is represented by Kiti Anthony Mule (Wiper Democratic Movement – Kenya), Ganze by Charo Kenneth Tungule (Party for Amani and Advancement – PAA), Malindi by Amina Laura Mnyazi (ODM).
Magarini, previously held by Harrison Garama Kombe (ODM), is- however- vacant after the Supreme Court upheld its nullification in 2024.
About Kilifi County
Despite more than half of Kilifi’s land being arable, only 31 percent of farmers hold legal title deeds.
The county primarily relies on maize and cassava for subsistence, while coconuts, cashew nuts, sisal, and citrus fruits such as mangoes and pineapples serve as key cash crops.

Educational infrastructure includes 418 primary and 86 secondary schools, serving approximately 256,000 and 22,500 students, respectively.
