Kenya Utalii College Students Protest
Students at Kenya Utalii College staged protests and blocked Thika Road after reports about the death of their colleague.
The student was found dead in a hostel, with learners blaming the administration for negligence and failure to act on earlier reports of the disappearance.
Additional reports indicate that the deceased had recently been harassed by security guards at the institution’s main gate.

In footage seen by The Kenya Times, two guards can be seen holding the student on the floor while he was shouting, saying he was ready to die.
The guards can be heard telling him to keep quiet, even as the student complained they were stepping on him.
“Let me die, I’ve accepted it. But why are you stepping on my mouth? The problem is simple — you’re stepping on me, why? I’m going to get hurt, bro,” the student.
