The Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has issued a five-day weather advisory for the period between July 6 and July 10, 2024.
In a statement released on 5th July 2024, the weather man noted that parts of the country will experience intermittent cool and cloudy conditions.
In addition, the weatherman noted that the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi and Central Kenya) will experience cloudy mornings which will break into sunny intervals, afternoon showers and are expected to have maximum temperatures of between 28℃ and minimum temperatures of 5℃.
“Intermittent cool and cloudy conditions are expected over some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands and the Rift Valley,” read part of the forecast report.

These counties in the highlands East of the Rift Valley include Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka counties.
Kenya Met also noted that the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley would experience the rains in the morning, while showers and thunderstorms will be expected over few places in the afternoon and evening.

Additionally, the above areas will experience maximum temperatures of 31℃ and minimum temperatures of 7℃.
These counties include Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot Counties.
The MET department noted that counties domiciled in North-eastern (Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo) are set to experience sunny intervals in the morning and afternoon with partly cloudy nights.
Counties in the Northeastern region of the country will have high temperatures of 37℃ and minimum temperatures of 15℃.
In addition, counties such as Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado and Taita Taveta will experience cloudy mornings which will break to sunny intervals in the afternoon and cloudy nights.

At the same time the Coastal region is set to experience sunny mornings and afternoon with cloudy nights, and they will experience maximum temperatures of 31℃and 21℃ minimum temperatures at night.
