Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetangula on Monday, May 30 disapproved the decision by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) to close the Wilson Airport again on Tuesday, May 31.
According to the Ford Kenya boss, closure of the Airport will be a big blow to the Kenyan economy which is already on its deathbed.
“Kenya Airports Authority must be called to order. Tomorrow May 31, 2022, they are closing our airspace for the 6th time in a month. Do they understand the damage they are causing to an already battered economy?” he asked in a Tweet.

This remarks came after KCAA issued a notice on Monday, May 30 scheduling closure of Wilson Airport between 1:30 pm and 7 pm. Moreover, according to the Authority reason for the closure remains an operational sensitive information.
Nonetheless, this closure will not be the first as the Authority had also closed Wilson Airport on Saturday, May 28 to pave way for the Kenya Defense Force (KDF)Museum Air Show Festival.
