Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has praised US President Donald Trump’s efforts to help end the war in Gaza.
In a statement on his X platform, Zelenskyy urged the international community to apply “the momentum gained there” to bring peace to Ukraine.
“Now, as the war in the Middle East comes to an end, it is important not to lose the momentum for advancing peace,” Zelenskyy said in a statement posted on October 14.
“The war in Europe can also be brought to an end, and for that, the leadership of both the United States and other partners is of utmost importance.”

“Undoubtedly, the right actions by the United States can also help bring an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine. We have a corresponding vision for this.”
Zelenskyy on Russian Missile Strikes
The Ukrainian leader also decried the recent Russian missile strikes on the country’s energy sector and underscored the need to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
“I am grateful for the readiness to help. Russia must be deprived of the means to continue its war and terror, and this can become the most reliable foundation for peace in our region,” Zelenskyy said.
Trump’s role in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas led to the release of all surviving Israeli hostages, marking an important diplomatic breakthrough in the Middle East.
Zelenskyy is calling on the international community, led by the United States, to replicate that success in Eastern Europe, where the conflict with Russia continues to cause devastation.

Trump Ends War in Gaza
Trump declared the Gaza war over and received a standing ovation in Israel’s parliament.
In a crucial part of the agreement, Hamas released the last 20 living Israeli hostages who had been captive for just over two years.
In turn, Israel freed nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees. Most of the Palestinians were taken from Israeli prisons, placed on buses, and driven to either Gaza or the West Bank.
They were greeted by cheering crowds, along with hugs from friends and family. Israel was also sending some abroad, effectively placing them in exile.
