A Nairobi court has released four police officers who had been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob an employee of a foreign exchange bureau in Nairobi.
The officers were released unconditionally after the court determined that there was no evidence linking them to the alleged attempted robbery offence.
Moreover, the court ordered that the officers’ phones be released to them.
The four officers identified as Daniel Wambui, Eliud Kipkurui, Stanley Gitonga and Nicholas Murira were arrested on January 9, 2023, after what police termed as a botched robbery mission.
