Infotrak CEO Angela Ambitho says none of the four presidential candidates will garner the required 52% votes ahead of the August 9 polls.
Speaking in Nairobi on Wednesday, July 13, Ambitho said that the latest polls recently conducted placed Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition is the most preferred presidential candidate.
Raila who was ranked at position one with 43 per cent was followed by Kenya Kwanza’s Presidential candidate William Ruto at a popularity rate of 37 per cent.
“Raila has not gained much since we did our last poll in June. His popularity has increased by one per cent and Ruto’s has gone down by one per cent from 38 per cent last time,” Ambitho said.
George Wajackoyah of the Roots party is ranked third with 4 per cent while Agano party’s David Mwaure finished fourth with a 0.1 per cent popularity rating.
Agano Party presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga has 0.1 percent.
“Mr Odinga’s popularity means that he has 9.4 million votes while Dr Ruto has 8.1 million votes if the election were to be done now. DP Ruto on the other hand has lost about 300,000 votes from the 8.4 million he had in the last poll,” she said.
