Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor has revealed the progress made on the examination of Kware victims’ bodies.
According to Dr Oduor, there were bodies whose parts were separated and cut through the lumbar area where the killer cut through the spine.
Johansen revealed that the examinations will continue, aimed at unpacking all the body parts that are still in body bags.
“The Lumbar area which is the lower abdomen where the person cut through the spine. The other body will be examined on Wednesday. We will be committed to removing pixels of all the other parts in body bags,” he revealed.
He added that they had identified the upper body parts which had injuries on the head indicating that the victim succumbed to excessive bleeding in the brain.

“That upper part of the body had head injuries like she had been hit by a blunt object which we can say caused a lot of bleeding in the brain,” he revealed

Further, he stated that the exercise will continue until they examine all the bodies that will have been retrieved, to give an accurate number of the victims.
Prior to this, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss on July 15, 2024, during a press briefing confirmed that a crucial arrest was made early Monday morning in Kayole, where they apprehended the prime suspect while attempting to hide.
DCI stated that the suspect resided just 500 meters from the Kware dumpsite, the scene where at least nine mutilated female bodies have been recovered since police and members of the public started retrieval operations.

The middle-aged man confessed to these serial killings and authorities described him as a psychopath.
Prime Suspect Arrested
Police tracked him down to a house in Kayole where he was allegedly attempting to lure another victim.
The arrest was made after the acting Inspector general of Police Douglas Kanja announced that investigations were ongoing to uncover the truth behind the heinous acts.

Preliminary investigations revealed that all the initial eight bodies recovered were female and had been severely dismembered.
“Nairobi Funeral Home is currently preserving eight bodies. Investigations reveal that all recovered bodies were female, severely dismembered, and in various stages of decomposition,” stated Kanja.
He indicated that it would take police and investigative agencies 21 days to unravel the mystery behind the dismembered bodies found at the Kware dumpsite in Embakasi South.
