Pravin Kumar Bowry is a Senior Counsel with a distinguished career in law, having practiced since 1971.

He was formally conferred the position of Senior Counsel on July 20, 2020, by former President Uhuru Kenyatta, a status reserved for advocates who have rendered exemplary service to the legal profession and public for a minimum of 15 years.

Following his education, Bowry established a formidable legal practice, becoming a key partner in the Bowry Maraga & Company Advocates firm, where he worked alongside former Chief Justice of Kenya, David Maraga.

Pravin served as lead defense counsel in the high-profile trial following the 2018 Solai Dam collapse tragedy, with his voice being pivotal in navigating the complex criminal charges of manslaughter and neglect brought against the dam owners.
Earlier in his career, the senior counsel made a name for himself in historically sensitive matters, like the Robert Ouko murder probe and the Julie Ward case.
