Security will be enhanced at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) between Friday and Sunday as the United States First Lady Jill Biden will be visiting Kenya.
JKIA has announced the closure of terminal 2 to facilitate the arrival of Jill Biden and her delegation.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, airport manager Abel Gogo, said the directive has been issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in conjunction with security agencies.
Terminal 2 will be cleared of any aircraft and vehicles on Friday, February 24, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The same will happen on Sunday 26 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Accordingly, airport staff has been advised to relocate their operations to Terminal 1 before the stipulated time period.
Jill has visited Kenya twice but this will be her first visit in her capacity as the First Lady of US.
She visited Africa five times as second lady, including a 2011 stop at the largest refugee camp in Kenya as thousands fled Somalia.
She is set to begin her trip in Namibia before proceeding to Kenya.
In Kenya, her visit will focus on the drought situation among other things.
