The woman who filed a child maintenance case against Mike Sonko has withdrawn the case.
In an affidavit, the woman alleged that two ladies residing in Mombasa offered her Ksh. 1 Million to trash the name of the former Nairobi Governor.
Furthermore, the woman confirmed that the two ladies had paid her Ksh 240,000.
“I have since searched my soul on the matter, considered the suit against the defendant and I now wish to unconditionally withdraw both the chamber summons applications and suit both dated 12th May 2022 and further wish to extend my unreserved apologies to the Plaintiff herein and to this Honorable court,” part of the court papers submitted by the woman read.
Moreover, in May 2022 the woman had made an application before the Kajiado court, seeking a monthly maintenance of Ksh.448, 450. She made this demands on ground that she sired a child with Mike Sonko and the minor is in Form 2.

In addition, the amount the woman requested was to cater for expenses such as food and shopping, rent, security, clothing and housekeeping, entertainment, medical coverage, education, transportation, and utilities.
“Mr Sonko and I are the biological parents of the minor herein,” the court papers, from the case filed at the Senior Principal Magistrate at Ngong read.
“Mr Sonko has always been defiant and brazen to accept responsibility and assist me with the maintenance of the minor. He has over the years willfully withdrawn support towards the maintenance of the minor thus denying her what is rightfully hers and forcing me to take full responsibility for the minor,” court papers further stated.
However, Sonko had dismissed these claims, accusing the woman who claimed to be his ex-lover of blackmail.
“This girl uses the kids for blackmail so that she is given money to go clubbing 24/7. I’ll give the kid the best of what life has to offer. My family keeps on growing bigger day in day out, I feel happy and blessed adopting orphans, street families and neglected kids in my home,” Sonko stated then.
