Fred Omondi, brother to famed comedian and media personality, Eric Omondi, has tragically lost his life on June 15, in an alleged road accident.
Preliminary reports indicate that the comedian perished in an accident involving a boda boda.
The comedian was emceeing an event on Friday, June 14 night at the Captains Lounge Grill in Athi River.
Reports suggest that the former Churchill Show comedian was involved in the accident as he was leaving the joint.
Additionally, reports say that he perished together with a bouncer and that his body is currently being held at the Mama Lucy Hospital Morgue.

Terrence Creative Eulogizes the Late Comedian
Reacting to the news, comedian Terence creative penned an emotional tribute on his Instagram page where he described Fred as a treasured brother who had been instrumental in the growth of his career as a comedian.

“TODAY AT 6AM IVE RECEIVED THE SADDEST CALL EVER Inauma saana…… Fred I thank God for the time He gave us together bro, you’ve been part of my career and growth in the industry, you always treated me as a brother and hosted me when I had nowhere to go, gave me a stage and paid me, together we started club comedy shows,” wrote Terence.
The tribute also touched on the struggles they faced together, from the early days of club comedy shows to their first TV show on KTN Crazy Comedy.
Terence emphasized the immense impact of Fred’s support, stating that he will always treasure the moments they shared together.
“I will always treasure the moment we shared the stage together from Tribeka, Taj Mall, Hearts, I club till we got to Churchill show and then to hosting our first Tv show together KTN Crazy Comedy. Together we suffered, together we learned and together we inspired, made people laugh and created great memories.”
“All this I will treasure and hold dearly, Freddy ulikuwa muungwaana ,I have a lot to say about but all I can say bro is that you did well, and you shall be remembered and missed, Go well bro.”
Eric Omondi also took to his social media accounts, mourning his beloved younger brother’s demise.
” My brother, it is not well. God, receive you till next time…Go well brother,” said Eric.
Fred Omondi: Rise to Prominence
Fred Omondi was a stand-up comedian and media personality who initially gained fame through his performances at the Churchill Show.
After leaving the Daniel Ndambuki run show Fred gained prominence as an events emcee, a career he was engaged in till his demise.
In a past interview, Fred credited his older brother Eric Omondi for inspiring him to pursue a career in entertainment.
He also explained his intention to carve out a niche for himself in the comedy space and not just be associated with his brother.

“People used to call me Eric’s brother and it really pissed me off, but I created my own niche and nowadays they call me Fred Omondi. All I can say is that I am okay, and everything is going as planned,” he said in a past interview.
Fred has been open about his personal life, including his struggles with his late elder brother Joseph, who died after being rescued from drug addiction.
Fred has also shared about his family life, including his daughters Shanis and Aeriel from different relationships.
