Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya leaders have no plans of putting an end to their planned series of anti-government protests after Wednesday, March 8, should the Kenya Kwanza administration fail to honor their demands.
Moreover, the Azimio team led by Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka maintained that last year’s General Election was not credible, and their victory was stolen.
They also added that the new IEBC selection panel is a strategy to have what they termed as a ‘Kenya Kwanza-friendly’ commission.
Members of the opposition while opposing the panel meant to select IEBC Chairperson and commissioners noted that these are efforts to perpetuate the illegalities at the electoral commission.
“Bunge, upande ya azimio-one kenya nawashukuru because wameapisha tayari panel ya kutafuta chebukati wengine saba. Yaani tutoke kwa Chebukati mmoja, tuende kwa saba,” Musyoka said.
Likewise, Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua blamed the president William Ruto-led administration over high prices of basic commodities and taxes.

“Umeondoa pesa ya chakula, umeondoa ya mafuta, umeondoa ya elimu na hata deni ya Kenya hujalipa. Kenya has defaulted for the first time. Pesa ulipeleka wapi?” Karua posed.
The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leaders spoke at Kithyoko, Machakos County where they attended a church service.
They stated that Azimio’s plan to lead supporters to State House to present a petition on the rising prices of basic commodities is still on.
Furthermore, the leaders also criticized the Kenya Kwanza administration over what they termed as a lawmakers’ buyout campaign meant to weaken the opposition.
