United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malala has blamed opposition leader Raila Odinga of causing unrest and economic sabotage in the country.
Malala made these remarks on Saturday July 8 while speaking during UDA mass registration drive in Tana River County.
In addition, the UDA SG cautioned Mr. Odinga that he will be arrested if the anti-government protests continue.
Malala noted that Raila should be held responsible for the destruction caused during Saba Saba mass protests on Friday.
He added that the Azimio leader is intentionally frustrating President Ruto’s administration.
“We are putting up with you (Raila), but we are almost fed up. If you continue to destroy people’s property, chasing away investors and misusing youths…you are not above the law, we will arrest you and take you to court,” Malala said.
Malala further warned Raila Odinga against proceeding with the mass protests scheduled for Wednesday next week.
“We shall start by arresting Raila Odinga,” he stated while urging Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki not to entertain Raila again.

Moreover, the UDA secretary general downplayed Azimio’s latest move to collect 10 million signatures to kick start a revolution against President William Ruto’s government.
“You cannot do the same thing the same way and expect different results. You have been holding Saba saba march for years, but you have not gotten presidency. You think you will threaten Ruto? William Ruto is here to stay until 2032, if you want to collect signatures, try in 2033,” he stated.
