Phelix Odiwuor Khodhe, popularly known as Jalang’o, is a Kenyan politician, media personality, comedian, actor, and entrepreneur.
He is the current Member of Parliament for Langata Constituency, having won the seat in the 2022 general election on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket.
He was born on April 27, 1983, in Homa Bay.

Jalang’o completed his primary education at Lake Primary School in Homa Bay from 1990 to 1997.
He then attended Nyang’oma Boys Secondary School in Siaya County, earning his KCSE between 1998 and 2001.
Later in life, he pursued higher education at Daystar University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development in 2020.
Career Background
His career began in the media industry in 2004 when he joined the Standard Group as a radio presenter.
He continued in that capacity across several major outlets: Radio Africa Group (2007–2013), Royal Media Services (2017–2018), Mediamax Network (2018–2020), and returned to Radio Africa Group (2020–2022) as a radio host.

He launched Arena Media, a marketing and advertising firm, in 2010, where he serves as the CEO.
His entertainment portfolio also includes acting appearances on the TV show Papa Shirandula, where he adopted the nickname “Jalang’o.”
In September 2022, Jalang’o ventured into elective politics and went on to win the Lang’ata Constituency parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket in a closely contested election.
