Rongo University has announced more than 30 permanent and pensionable job vacancies across administrative and academic departments.
With the application window set to close on September 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., the university is inviting interested and qualified candidates to apply.
Further, the university has called for applications in both academic and non-academic roles, with opportunities ranging from high-level leadership to entry-level support.
The opportunities offer long-term job security, pensions, and career progression, and applicants, including women, persons with disabilities, and individuals from marginalized regions, are encouraged to apply.
Some of the roles in administration include finance, planning, library services, audit, farm management, communications, and technical support.

Details of the Rongo University Advertised Jobs
The university is looking to fill the Registrar, Academic Affairs (Grade RU 15) position. The successful candidate will oversee academic programs, examinations, and student records.
At the same time, there are vacancies for a Registrar, Administration and Planning (Grade RU 15), responsible for university administration, human resources, and strategic planning, and a Deputy Registrar, Administration and Planning (Grade RU 14), to assist in planning and day-to-day administration.
Other jobs include Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs (Grade RU 14) and Deputy Registrar, Students (Grade RU 14), with responsibilities in student welfare, guidance, and disciplinary matters.
Candidates qualified for the Deputy University Librarian (Grade RU 14) and Deputy Finance Officer (Grade RU 14) who assists in managing university finances, budgeting, and reporting, are encouraged to apply.
Rongo University is also looking for a Farm Manager IV (Grade RU 12), an Internal Auditor II (Grade RU 12), and three individuals under the Administrative Assistant II – Corporate Communications (Grade RU 7).
Candidates can apply for the Assistant Technician II (Grade RU 7), Assistant Technician I (Grade RU 6) and Auxiliary Staff (Grade RU 2) (2 positions available) positions.

Academic Positions Advertised
The advertised academic positions include a Political Science lecturer (Grade RU 12), Focus on governance, politics, and international relations, and a Hotel & Hospitality Management lecturer (Grade RU 12), who will train students in tourism and hospitality skills.
The university is also looking for a Visual Arts – Fine Art (Grade RU 12) lecturer, a Special Needs Education – Hearing Impairment (Grade RU 12) lecturer, and a Pure Mathematics (Grade RU 12) lecturer who will focus on advanced mathematics research and teaching.
Also, International Relations (Grade RU 12) lecturers, Chemistry (Organic/Physical) (Grade RU 12) lecturers, Geography with Mining (Grade RU 12) lecturer,s and Information Technology (Grade RU 12) lecturers are encouraged to apply.
Positions for Lecturer, Economics (Grade RU 12), Lecturer, Literature (Grade RU 12), Lecturer, Physical Education/Sports Science (Grade RU 12), Lecturer, Science Methods (Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics) (Grade RU 12), Lecturer, Technology Education – Computer Studies (Grade RU 12) are also needed.
Lecturer, Educational Management and Policy (Grade RU 11)(2 positions), Fellow, Human Resource Management (Grade RU 11), Fellow, Health Records/Health Systems (Grade RU 11) Fellow, (Unspecified) (Grade RU 11) – Open fellowship role, are positions up for grabs.
