The Kenya Meteorological Department (Weatherman) has released a five-day weather forecast for the week starting September 4 to September 8.
According to Kenya Met, Kenyans across the country should brace for intermittent cold, cloudy conditions and rainfall during this period.
Further, the weatherman has indicated that rainfall is expected to continue over some parts of the Highlands of East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley and the Coast.
On the other hand, the Highlands of East and West of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands and the Rift Valley will experience extreme cold.

Weatherman Details Areas That Will Experience Extreme Cold
Areas within the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi County, include Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka and Nairobi Counties.
The regions will for the following five days receive rains over few high-ground areas in the morning, showers in the afternoon and a chance of showers over few high-ground areas in the evenings.
On the other hand, areas within the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley, include Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet counties.
Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho,Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga,Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot Counties are also included.
These areas will experience rains over few places on Wednesday and Friday morning, and sunny intervals the rest of the days.
However, in the afternoons, these areas will experience showers and thunderstorms over several places.
These regions will experience showers over few places and partly cloudy nights.

Areas With Sunny Weather
The weatherman detailed that North-eastern region including Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo Counties, will experience sunny intervals in the mornings and afternoon and partly cloudy evenings.
The North-western regions including Turkana and Samburu Counties will experience sunny intervals in the mornings and afternoons, and cloudy nights.
In addition, the Coast region including Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties will experience an interval of sunny and showers in the mornings and afternoon, while the nights will remain partly cloudy with showers on other days.
Moreover, Kenyans at the South-eastern lowlands’ region including Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado and Taita Taveta Counties, should expect cloudy mornings, breaking into sunny intervals.
The afternoons will be sunny with a chance of showers over few places, while the nights will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers over few places.
