China has dismissed United States (US) President Donald Trump’s claims that it was colluding with Russia and North Korea against US.
The remarks came after Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at a military parade marking 80 years since the end of World War II.
Responding to the allegations, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun, on September 4, said the commemorations were meant to bring together peace-loving countries.
He stressed that China’s diplomatic relations have never been targeted at any third party.
“The purpose was to join peace-loving countries and peoples in remembering history, honouring those who sacrificed their lives, cherishing peace, and looking to the future,” Guo said at a press briefing on Thursday, September 4.
The Kremlin also weighed in on Trump’s allegations of “conspiring against the U.S.,” with foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov suggesting that Russia hoped the remarks were meant ironically.
Ushakov stressed that Russia, China, and North Korea had never considered conspiring against the United States.
“No one has been plotting anything, no conspiracies,” he said.
“I can say that everyone recognizes the role of the United States, the current administration of President Trump, and President Trump personally in shaping the present international situation.”

Trump says China is conspiring against the US
US President Donald Trump, on Wednesday, September 3, wrote on his Truth Social platform, extended greetings to Xi but accused the three leaders of conspiring against the United States.
“May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America,” Trump said.

About the Meeting
Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin attended the military parade in Beijing amid heightened concern from Ukraine and Western nations over growing cooperation among the three states in support of Moscow’s war in Ukraine, which has continued since February 2022.
According to Putin’s top foreign policy aide, the Russian president extended an invitation to Kim for a meeting on the sidelines of the parade.
During the talks, Putin expressed gratitude to Kim for North Korea’s deployment of troops to repel Ukraine’s incursion in Russia’s western Kursk region last year.
Kim, in turn, pledged continued support for Moscow, stating: “As I said during our previous meeting, if there is anything we can do to help Russia, we will certainly do that, and we will regard this as our fraternal duty. We will do everything in our power to assist Russia.”
The meeting ended with Putin and Kim embracing before reporters, with Putin inviting the North Korean leader to visit Russia again.
